Minister Troy concludes his first Trade Visit to the UAE and Qatar

The visit, organised by Enterprise Ireland, focused on several high-profile engagements to boost trade collaboration with the region and to support an accelerated export-led recovery of Irish businesses in international markets. He also had the opportunity to meet with the Irish business communities on the ground who have been instrumental in supporting Irish businesses looking to scale and grow into the region.
Coinciding with the Enterprise Ireland trade visit to Dubai and the UAE this week led by Minister Robert Troy, SUPERVALU, a brand of Musgrave, Ireland’s leading food retailer, announced doubling its product range sold on noon Grocery, the Middle East’s largest online grocery marketplace this week.
The announcement was made at a meeting held at noon’s office in Dubai and attended by Minister Robert Troy, Ali Kafil-Hussain, Chief of Staff at noon.com, Liam Hyland, Director of Export & International Trade at SUPERVALU and the Enterprise Ireland team.

As part of the trade visit, Minister Robert Troy also launched Ireland’s Pavilion at EXPO Dubai 2020. Ireland's theme for the Pavilion is ‘Ireland – island of inspiration', which will include elements that tell part of the story of 5,000 years of Irish creativity and innovation. Participation at Expo will provide an opportunity to promote Ireland to a global audience of up to 25 million visitors over the event’s six-month duration - opening the door to new contacts, new markets, and new collaborations.
