An Exchequer deficit of €3,192 million was recorded to end-April 2019. This compares to a deficit of €3,430 million in the same period last year.
Tax revenues of €15,571 million to end-April 2019 were broadly in line with target, below by just 0.2% or €26 million and ahead of 2018 by 5.7% or €833 million.
