Statement by the Tánaiste on calls with Foreign Ministers of Jordan and Saudi Arabia

This afternoon I spoke with Jordanian FM Ayman Safadi and Saudi FM Prince Faisal bin Farhan. I thanked them for the important role they play in the region. We discussed the crisis between Iran and Israel and the urgent need for de-escalation and diplomacy. We also agreed on the need to maintain international focus on the deplorable situation in Gaza and the West Bank. I will continue to engage with regional partners in support of a return to stability and peace.
