I am saddened to learn of the death of HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said al-Said of Oman. His leadership brought peace to Oman, and he worked tirelessly to promote reconciliation, good neighbourly relations and peaceful settlement of disputes across the region. He will be greatly missed. Ireland extends its condolences to the Omani royal family and people.
