The Government Science Advisor (GSA) identifies and provides science advice to complex policy challenges arising across Government as required.
The office of the GSA also has a longer term developmental focus to enhance science advice capacity across all Government departments, which will not duplicate or displace existing sectoral centres of expertise, and which will complement existing Government actions.
