The technological university agenda
Technological universities (TUs) are a part of the changing face of higher education in Ireland. The new technological universities will:
- drive access, excellence and regional development
- strengthen links with enterprise in the country and employers in the community
Benefits of TUs
The benefits of a TU are significant. They include:
- attracting foreign direct investment
- retaining and creating skills and employment in the region
- giving students the highest-quality education across all qualification levels, from apprenticeship to doctoral degrees
