Degrees and awards granted by higher education institutions as listed below can be stamped or authenticated by the Department of Further and Higher Education Research, Innovation and Science. Awards made by private colleges cannot be stamped by the department and should be referred to the relevant accrediting body, for example QQI.

How to apply
You should ask the university or institution to email the following information to the department at HEstampingAwards@education.gov.ie:
- the name of the graduate
- student number
- details of the award
In order to comply with data protection legislation, this information can only be released by the university or institution at the request of the student.
When this information has been received, you should contact the department by phone or email to arrange a time to call to our Item was unpublished or removed to have the award stamped.
You should follow the same procedure if you need a letter to be stamped (for example, a statement of results) . A copy of the letter must be emailed to the department from the institution before the original can be stamped.
There is no charge for this service.
