Dr David Kelly is a public health physician and medical epidemiologist with 12 years of clinical and research experience.
He is a medical graduate of Trinity College University of Dublin and holds a master’s in public health from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Santé Publique, France.
Dr Kelly undertook clinical training in Ireland and France and completed higher specialist training in public health medicine with the Faculty of Public Health Medicine in Ireland.
Dr Kelly secured a prestigious ECDC fellowship (EPIET) in field epidemiology, with the French National Public Health Agency.
His public health and epidemiology expertise includes data analysis, evidence synthesis, surveillance, and evaluation and appraisal of cancer screening participation, blood donor epidemiology and deferral, and vaccination policies.
As a health policy analyst at the Health Division of the OECD, his work focuses on country health statistics for cancer epidemiology and prevention, health systems performance and health care quality and outcomes.
