Terms of Reference – Phase 1
- to develop a staffing and skill mix ranges framework related to general and specialist adult hospital medical and surgical settings based on best available international evidence
- to set out clearly the assumptions upon which the staffing and skill mix ranges are determined
- to make recommendations around implementation and monitoring of the framework including the necessary education, training, and guidance required
- to present a written report to the Minister for Health within 6 months of establishment
Terms of Reference – Phase 2
- to develop a staffing and skill mix ranges framework related to Emergency Care settings based on best available national and international evidence
- to set out clearly the assumptions upon which the staffing and skill mix ranges are determined
- to develop an interim report on the work and outputs of the Taskforce
- to make recommendations around implementation and monitoring of the framework including the necessary education, training, and guidance required
- to present a written report to the Minister for Health within 12 months
