Appointment to St. James Hospital Board - 20 March 2025

The Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill has appointed the following as a member of St. James Hospital Board.

Councillor Ciarán Ó Meachair is from Dublin. He holds a BA from NUI Galway and an MA from Queen’s University Belfast.

He has spent several years working in the Public and Civil Service, including periods with the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Mental Health Commission.

In December 2024, he was co-opted to Dublin City Council representing the South West Inner City.

Mr Ciarán Ó Meachair is appointed following nomination by Dublin City Council with effect from 26 February 2025 and ending on the day of the first meeting of Dublin City Council after the appointment of members following the next local authority election of members to the said Council.
