Appointment to the Board of the Health Insurance Authority - 26 October 2023

Following a Public Appointments Service (PAS) campaign, the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has appointed Michael Harnett with effect from 14 September 2023 until 4 July 2027 to the board of the Health Insurance Authority.

Michael is a Qualified Accountant with over 20 years commercial experience and has also completed an MBA in UCD Smurfit School. He has worked with regulated companies in Ireland and Internationally to ensure they meet all legislative and licensing obligations. In his current role as Finance Director, he is also the main Human Resources contact for Ticketmaster in Ireland.

He is on the Board of Ticketmaster in the Republic and Northern Ireland and acts as Company Secretary to ensure it meets its statutory obligations.
