Appointment to the Board of the National Treatment Purchase Fund - 21 November 2024

Following a Public Jobs campaign, Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has appointed Ms Jennifer Carey to the Board of the National Treatment Purchase Fund with effect from 5 November 2024 until 4 November 2027.

Ms Carey joined the board of the NTPF in December 2024. Jennifer is currently the General Manager of St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) in Dublin. She began her career as a Registered General Nurse and a Children’s Nurse gaining extensive experience in Paediatric Healthcare. During her tenure at Children’s Hospital Ireland Ms Carey also worked as the Head of Operations and was responsible for implementing the HSE protocols and targets for scheduled and unscheduled care.

Jennifer’s has a special interest in governance and human resources which have been instrumental in advancing SLRON’s mission to deliver high quality cancer treatment and support services to patients and their families

Ms Carey is a member of the board of trustees of Children in Hospital, she has a MBS in Business and Human Resource Strategy and is about to commence a Diploma in Corporate Governance.
