Appointment to the Irish Blood Transfusion Service - 20 March 2025

Following a Public Jobs campaign, the Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill has appointed John Quinn to the Irish Blood Transfusion Service with effect from 7 February 2025 to 6 February 2028.

Independent non-executive director

John is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants, a Certified Investment Fund Director and an associate of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland. He is resident in Ireland and has been involved in the financial services sector for over 25 years.

He has extensive administration, accounting, compliance, operational and management experience within the industry. For most of his career he has worked a senior capacity within the Alternatives division of State Street servicing multiple large multi-manager hedge funds across a wide variety of domiciles and investment strategies. John is currently acting as an independent non-executive director and a consultant to various clients.
