Appointment to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland - 4 March 2024

Following nomination by the Medical Council, the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has appointed Dr Nadine Farah to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland with effect from 4 March 2024 until 12 January 2027.

Nadine studied medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland where she graduated in 1998 with an honour’s degree. She then completed her specialist training in in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2010 and was appointed as a Consultant in The Coombe Hospital that year and is currently a member of the hospital board. Nadine was awarded her MD degree from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2012 for her research on maternal and fetal adiposity. Furthermore, Nadine has an interest in teaching and is an Associate Clinical Professor with UCD.
