On the nomination of the Occupational Therapist’s Registration Board, The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly T.D., has appointed Dr Kate Robinson to the Health and Social Care Professionals Council with effect from 26th August until 30th June 2025.
Dr Katie Robinson
Dr Katie Robinson holds a BSc in Occupational Therapy from Trinity College Dublin (2000), an MSc in Disability Management from University College Dublin (2004) and a PhD in Occupational Therapy from the University of Limerick (2012). Katie is currently Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy and Director of Postgraduate Research in the faculty of Education and Health Sciences at the University of Limerick. She has sixteen years’ experience in the higher education sector preparing allied health students for professional practice. Katie has worked clinically in acute and rehabilitation settings as an occupational therapist and her research interests include ageing research, chronic illness, the history of occupational therapy and the use of qualitative methods.
