Appointments to the Dieticians Registration Board - 20 February 2024

The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has appointed/reappointed the following as members of the Dieticians Registration Board.
Eamonn Dunne
Mr Eamonn Dunne is currently employed as CEO for Northside Homecare Services (NHCS). NHCS employs 250 staff, providing homecare for 1,000 elderly clients and meals on wheels service to 900 clients in North Dublin. Mr Dunne was responsible for the integration of NHCS and Home Care Northeast Bay in 2014, later merging with KARE Social Services in 2017. Mr Dunne oversaw the change management process; turning the organisation into a vibrant and solvent enterprise. NHCS continues to grow and Mr Dunne is currently overseeing the integration of two similar organisations in the greater Dublin area.
NHCS was the first homecare company in Ireland to achieve the ISO 9001 quality award and also the Excellence Through People award.
In his previous employment, Mr Dunne has worked as Managing Director and General Manager for both commercial and not-for-profit organisations including the Cherry Orchard Community Training Centre and the North Centre City Community Action Project. Mr Dunne worked for almost 20 years in the construction industry and was the founder and Managing Director of Dunne Contracting Ltd.
Mr Dunne possesses a master’s in business administration (Honours) and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Building, the Institute of Architects and Surveyors and of the World Organisation of Building Officials. Mr Dunne also has a Certificate in Sage Accountancy and in Health and Safety.
Mr Dunne is reappointed with effect from 14 February 2024 to 13 February 2028.
Ann Sheehan
Ann Sheehan has over 15 years of experience working in regulation. She has served as an active board member for NMBI and the Pharmaceutical Society and has also chaired the health committee for the PSI. Ann's experience in patient advocacy and working in the community brings understanding, empathy, and compassion for all service users.
Ms Sheehan is reappointed with effect from 14 February 2024 to 13 February 2028 and is with the consent of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
Susan Temple
Susan Temple has 40 years’ experience in the public health service. During this time, Susan held a number of strategic leadership and management roles in Community and Acute Hospital Services. She was appointed as an Acute Hospital General Manager in 2001 and General Manager for Quality and Patient Safety and Service Improvement at Hospital Group level in 2015.
Susan was awarded a Certificate in Governance by the IPA in 2018, a Diploma in Leadership and Quality by the RCPI in 2016 and an MBA by Coventry University in 2002. She also holds a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance (ACCA) and a Diploma in Health Service Management.
Ms Temple is appointed following a Public Appointments Services (PAS) process is with effect from 14 February 2024 to 13 February 2028. This appointment is with the consent of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
