Re-appointments to the Health and Social Care Professionals Council

The Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD has reappointed the following persons as members of the Health and Social Care Professionals Council with effect from 27 August 2025 until 20 July 2029.

Professor Ladislav Timulak

Professor Ladislav Timulak, PhD is a Professor in Counselling Psychology at Trinity College Dublin. He is involved in training of mental health professionals in Ireland and internationally. His main research interest is the development of transdiagnostic treatments for depression, anxiety, and related disorders. Ladislav is also researching the use of mental health interventions delivered online.

Professor Ladislav Timulak is reappointed following nomination by the Psychologists Registration Board.

Róna McLaughlin

Róna McLaughlin is a chartered physiotherapist with over thirty years of clinical, educational and managerial experience in Ireland and Australia. She holds a BSc. in Physiotherapy (UUJ), a MSc. in Medical Science (NUIG) and a Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine (NUIG). She is currently the physiotherapy manager in Donegal Primary Care (HSE), where she leads out on service delivery, innovation and development. Róna is committed to advancing excellence in physiotherapy care and her work is supported by extensive training in clinical practice, leadership and governance.

Róna McLaughlin is reappointed following nomination by the Physiotherapists Registration Board.
