Reappointments to the Hepatitis C and HIV Compensation Tribunal - 26 November 2024

The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has reappointed the following to the Hepatitis C and HIV Compensation Tribunal.
Mr John Healy
John Healy SC has practised in the Four Courts since 1999. He has considerable experience in the fields of civil litigation, medical law, constitutional law, and judicial review. He is also the author of several authoritative legal books, including Medical Malpractice Law (Thomson Roundhall, Brehon Library, 2008) and Irish Laws of Evidence (Roundhall, 2004). He has been a member of the Tribunal since 21st September 2012.
Mr John Healy SC is re-appointed with effect from 28 October 2024 until 27 October 2027.
Adrienne Cawley
Adrienne Cawley BL was called to the Bar in 1994. She is a practising barrister specialising in the areas of family law, property law, landlord and tenant law, and probate. She has been a member of the Tribunal since August 2012.
Ms Adrienne Cawley BL is re-appointed with effect from 28 October 2024 until 27 October 2027.
Joseph O’Sullivan
Joseph O’Sullivan BL has practiced at the Bar of Ireland since 1997. His main areas of practice are Judicial Review /Administrative Law, Commercial Law and Professional Negligence. He is a member of the Council of the Bar of Ireland and Chair of its Human Rights Committee. He has been a member of the Tribunal since 21 September 2012.
Mr Joseph O’Sullivan BL is re-appointed with effect from 28 October 2024 until 27 October 2027.
Romaine Scally
Romaine Scally (Solicitor) qualified in the Michaelmas term of 1980 and has been the principal in the firm of Romaine Scally & Company Solicitors, Main Street, Tallaght since 1998. She qualified from UCD with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and English in 1976 and was entered into the role of Solicitors in the Law Society of Ireland in 1980. She was previously the secretary of the Tallaght Solicitors Bar Association from 2007 to 2012. She has been an Ordinary Member of the Hepatitis C and HIV Tribunal since 2014.
Ms Romaine Scally is re-appointed with effect from 22 October 2024 until 21 October 2027.
Michael Anthony MacNamee
Michael Anthony MacNamee B.C.L. Barrister-at Law (King's Inns) was called to the Bar of Ireland in 1989 and commenced full-time practice in 1995. He has been an Ordinary Member of the Hepatitis C and HIV Compensation Tribunal since 2014. He is also an Adjudicator with the Workplace Relations Commission and an Adjudicator and Mediator with the Residential Tenancies Board.
Michael Anthony MacNamee is re-appointed with effect from 22 October 2024 until 21 October 2027.
