Chief Nursing Officer's (CNO's) and Professional Regulation Division

The Chief Nursing Officer’s (CNO's) and Professional Regulation Division, including the Medical Council, is responsible for:

  • developing and overseeing implementation of policy in relation to the nursing and midwifery profession
  • providing strategic leadership and expert nursing and midwifery advice to the department, government, broader health system and regulatory and professional bodies
