- drive the Healthy Ireland agenda
- deliver improved patient outcomes
- reform operational systems to drive better outcomes
- implement agreed steps towards universal healthcare
- introduce innovative funding models
- modernise health facilities and ICT infrastructure
Department of Health Statement of Strategy 2015 – 2017
The Department of Health has a range of actions that we plan to pursue over the lifetime of this strategy to achieve our aim. The department has organised these actions into priority areas. It’s important to note that to one extent or another all of these actions are interrelated and interdependent.
