Research and Development and Health Analytics Division

The Research and Development and Health Analytics Division is responsible for:

• managing a research service through internal capability development and co-ordination of external research to inform the work of the Department of Health
• planning and supporting strategic development of health information as part of a cross-departmental and intersectoral approach
• implementation of an eHealth Strategy for Ireland and its alignment with the proposed health reforms in conjunction with HSE
• promoting and protecting Ireland's interests at EU level and in other relevant international fora

The division also has responsibility for engagement with enterprise and academia in fulfilment of its functions.
