Minister for Health publishes Insourcing and Outsourcing Report – a Review (HSE June 2025)

"In early April, I requested the CEO of the HSE to carry out a review of insourcing across the health service. I told the Health Committee last week that I expected to receive the report shortly, I have now received it and I am publishing it in advance of the CEO’s appearance before that Committee tomorrow morning, to ensure members have it in advance.

"As I said at the Committee last week, I would like to discuss a plan to reduce dependence on insourcing with the Committee so that we can achieve our shared goal of maximising productivity in the public health service, ensuring patients have timely access to the treatments they need. I will be reflecting on some of these steps in the coming weeks and look forward to working together with the Committee in the spirit of Sláintecare on this."
