Statement from the National Public Health Emergency Team - Sunday 5 September

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 1,180 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
As of 8am today, 362 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 59 are in ICU.

Please note that case notifications may be reduced at weekends and that will be reflected early the following week. 5 or 7 day moving average of daily case numbers is a better indication of trends.
