Expressions of interest for appointment to the position of Chair of the NIMC for Sharing the Vision

The National Implementation and Monitoring Committee (NIMC) is collectively responsible for driving and overseeing the long-term implementation of the national mental health policy Sharing the Vision: A Mental Health Policy for Everyone.
Interested parties should submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and supporting letter as one document to sharingthevision@health.gov.ie with “Chair – National Implementation and Monitoring Committee” in the email subject line.
Expressions of interest will be assessed by a Department of Health selection panel and may be subject to a shortlisting process.
The Chair is to be appointed by and is accountable to the Minister of State for Mental Health and Older People, Mary Butler.
Speaking about the launch of the EOI, Minister Butler stated:
I am pleased to open this invitation, for Expressions of Interest, for the position of Chairperson of the National Implementation and Monitoring Committee to the public. The delivery of Sharing the Vision, our national mental health policy, is a key commitment for Government and for me as Minister. It is vital that progress and momentum is maintained in driving the implementation of its 100 recommendations through a dedicated and independent monitoring committee. I would invite all interested parties to make an application for this important and challenging role. Finally, I would like to thank the outgoing Chairperson Mr John Saunders for his excellent work and dedication over the past 3 years.
