When the Nursing Homes Support Scheme commenced, a commitment was made that it would be reviewed after three years.
This review was carried out by the Department of Health in collaboration with the HSE, with input provided by Deloitte and Touche Consultants on specific issues.
The review considers the role and future of the Scheme in the context of the wider range of services provided for older people.
