Responsibility at Assistant Secretary level for: the development and oversight of implementation of Government policy in relation to acute hospital services nationally; leading on healthcare reform, including driving implementation of national strategies and associated strategic developments; scheduled care reform under the Waiting List Action Plan; and effective governance and performance arrangements in Acute Hospitals.
