Principal Officer, Blood and Organ Transplant Policy

Responsibility at Principal Officer level for: Policy and performance oversight of Organ Donation & Transplant Services, including liaison with Organ Donation and Transplant Ireland; Policy and performance oversight of Blood & Tissue Services, including Human Tissue legislation and the draft Regulation on Substances of Human Origin, governance and performance oversight of Irish Blood Transfusion Service; governance oversight of agencies and bodies established to manage blood issues including the National Haemophilia Council, Consultative Council on Hepatitis C and the Haemophilia Product Selection Monitoring and Advisory Board; liaison with the Hepatitis C and HIV Compensation Tribunal; oversight of the Dublin Midlands Hospital Group.
