Responsibility at Principal Level for health policy for people who use illicit drugs, the coordination of the national drugs strategy and the response to the report of the Citizens Assembly on Drug Use. Irish Govt representation on the British Ireland Council work sector on drugs and alcohol (chairperson), the EU horizontal working party on drugs, the Council of Europe Pompidou Group, the EU Drugs Agency and the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs. Coordination of funding for and provision of HSE healthcare services for people who are homeless, Travellers and Roma, and refugees and migrants and monitoring of expenditure and outputs. Dept contribution to the Dublin North East Inner City initiative and the Drogheda implementation plan.
