Principal Officer, Eligibility Policy

Responsibility at Principal level for: policy and legislative issues as they relate to current eligibility for health services in Ireland and at EU level; ensuring the implementation of the eligibility framework by the HSE; overseeing the administration of the Medical Card and GP Visit Card schemes, the application of statutory patient charges in public hospitals and the operation of the EU Cross-Border Directive and EU Treatment Abroad Scheme.
