Principal Officer, Major Capital Projects

Responsibility of overseeing progress on the New Children's Hospital capital project; Effective engagement with the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board and HSE Lead Director, and other stakeholders as appropriate, in terms of the revised governance arrangements for the New Children’s Hospital project, including the Programme Assurance Plan; Oversight of the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board (NPHDB); Oversight of Implementation of Infrastructure Guidelines(IGs) and processes for capital projects greater than €200m; Ensure that IGS outputs for major infrastructural investment proposals/projects submitted by project sponsors/ policy units are efficiently reviewed, subject to internal challenge and critique and, where appropriate, shepherded through the IGsgates; Oversee the development and publication of the Strategic Health Infrastructural Investment Framework (SHIF) with Capital/ Infrastructure and IGEES colleagues, and the updating of the HSE Capital Projects manual & approvals protocol; Participation in the Project Ireland 2040 Co-ordination Group, ensuring that the reporting template for major capital projects for the PI 2040 Co-ordination Group and Delivery Board meetings is accurately updated and completed in a timely fashion; Participation in the Construction Sector Group.
