Principal Officer, Mental Health Policy

Responsibility at Principal level for implementation of Sharing the Vision – A Mental Health Policy for Everyone (2020 – 2030). Specifically, responsibility for the effective functioning of the National Implementation Monitoring Committee (NIMC); coordination of Sharing the Vision policy recommendations across relevant government departments and agencies; monitoring and supporting the HSE on implementation of mental health aspects of the National Service Plan relating to adult services; governance and performance monitoring for the Mental Health Commission under the Mental Health Acts 2001-2018; developing mental health legislation, including the recently completed review of the Mental Health Act 2001, with a Mental Health Bill currently moving through the Oireachtas.
