Principal Officer, Population Health Screening and Cardiovascular Policy

Responsibility at Principal level for policy leadership for new, and changes to existing, organised population-based screening programmes; Oversight of National Screening Service (NSS) (incorporating BreastCheck, CervicalCheck, BowelScreen, Diabetic RetinaScreen); HSE Newborn Screening Programmes; Secretariat for the National Screening Advisory Committee (NSAC); Policy to support public understanding, confidence, and uptake of Screening services. Policy responsibility to be derived from the National Review of Cardiac Services; support and oversight for the implementation of the HSE National Stroke Strategy 2022-2027.
