Principal Officer, Private Health Insurance

Responsible for: ongoing oversight and development of the Irish health insurance regulatory framework; overseeing the development and maintenance of the Risk Equalisation Scheme for private health insurance; developing and drafting private health insurance legislation to underpin this framework; ensuring effective oversight and governance of the Health Insurance Authority and the Voluntary Health Insurance Board; progressively aligning policy on private health insurance with Sláintecare including developing additional proposals to remove private practice from public hospitals.
