Competition for Principal Adviser (Planning), Planning Division, Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage


The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage is inviting applications for the position of Principal Adviser (Planning) in the Planning Division.

The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage's mission is to support the sustainable and efficient delivery of well-planned homes and effective local government.

The primary role of the Principal Adviser (Planning) is the provision of professional planning advice within the Department, relating to the development of planning policy, guidance and legislation. As well as within the Planning Division, this includes working on a cross-departmental basis, especially with the Department’s Housing Divisions, and also on an inter-departmental basis.

The Principal Adviser (Planning) will be member of the Department’s Senior Management Team and will report to the Assistant Secretary for the Planning Division.
