Conservation measures for Red-throated Divers, Co. Donegal – Determination on Screening for Appropriate Assessment

The Red-throated Diver is one of Ireland’s rarest breeding bird species, restricted to remote upland lochans in County Donegal.

In view of low occupancy and breeding success in recent years, efforts to restore the favourable conservation condition of Red-throated Divers require measures to alleviate the known and predicted vulnerabilities of the species.
