Japanese Knotweed clearance as part of necessary conservation measures at River Moy Special Area of Conservation and Lough Conn and Lough Cullin Special Protection Area.

The Invasive non-native Japanese Knotweed can destabilise soil along river banks, interfere with building foundations and damage tarmac roadways and concrete surfaces. The dense growth of this species has been shown to reduce biodiversity and extirpate native species.
