Traveller Accommodation Expert Review - Programme Board Update

A Traveller accommodation Expert Group was established by the Department in 2018 to review the Traveller Accommodation Act 1998 and other legislation impacting on the provision and delivery of accommodation for Travellers. The Expert Group presented its report ‘Traveller Accommodation Expert Review’ in July 2019. The report sets out an integrated set of recommendations intended to improve the effectiveness of the arrangements for providing accommodation for members of the Traveller community.

A Programme Board was established to oversee implementation of recommendations from the report. The following is an update on the recommendations selected by the Programme Board in their current work programme.
