Rental Accommodation Scheme



What the Rental Accommodation Scheme is

The Rental Accommodation Scheme is a social housing support which caters for the accommodation needs of certain people who are getting long-term Rent Supplement.

Under the scheme, private rented properties provide an additional source of good quality rental accommodation for eligible people.


How to qualify

To qualify, you must be getting Rent Supplement for a minimum period of 18 months and be assessed as having a long-term housing need.


Apply

Your local authority is responsible for the management and administration of the Rental Accommodation Scheme in your area.
