Neil Ward

Neil is Head of Transparency for the Department of Justice. The Transparency function is responsible for sourcing, assessing and communicating all information required by the Minister, as well as ensuring consistent standards of internal and external communications.

The function integrates information, analysis and communications from across the Department to create coherent narratives on justice and equality themes.

It proactively determines where there is a need for information to be communicated or published, as well as responding in an agile way to incoming requests. The function uses a variety of channels, leveraging technology and real-time information, to ensure the Minister upholds their commitment of democratic accountability to citizens, the Oireachtas, the media and other stakeholders.
