Walter Johnston

Walter is the Head of the Internal Audit Unit in the Department and operates under the guidance and supervision of the Audit Committee. Internal Audit’s primary objective is to provide independent assurance to the Secretary General on the effectiveness of the Internal Controls in place across the Department and its divisions. The Audit Unit evaluates how well risks are being managed by assessing the quality of risk management processes, systems of internal control and corporate governance processes, across the organisation.
