Cohesion Policy Funds 2021-2027: Le Chéile Mentoring

Le Chéile Mentoring is a national, volunteer mentoring and family support service co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund, which works with young people and their families, where the young person is involved in or at risk of offending.

Le Chéile recruit, train and support volunteers from local communities to become mentors. Mentors act as positive role models and provide a supportive relationship for young people and parents.

Volunteer mentors from across the country were asked about what it means to be a mentor with Le Chéile Mentoring and what it has meant for them. This is what they said.
