The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has entered into a Data Sharing Agreement DFAHSE 003_250515 under the Data Sharing and Governance Act 2019 (DSGA) with the Health Service Executive for the purpose of providing the signed undertaking, received by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in the course of an Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC) Application, to the Health Service Executive where a child has been born overseas via international surrogacy.
This Data Sharing Agreement covers sharing of personal data in the form of providing the signed undertaking to the Health Service Executive to assist it in the providing healthcare services that may be required by children born through international surrogacy once they arrive in Ireland.
The DFAHSE 003_250515 contains amendments to the agreed data sharing terms and conditions outlined in the original DFAHSE 003_220628 Data Sharing Agreement. DFAHSE 003_250515 replaces DFAHSE 003_220628 as a legal contract permitting personal data sharing under the DSGA.
The DFAHSE 003_220628 is no longer effective and has been unpublished, along with its associated Data Governance Board Recommendations, from the Data Sharing Agreement Register. Any queries relating to the previous agreement, DFAHSE 003_220628, can be forwarded to the OGCIO Data Governance Unit datagovernance@per.gov.ie.
