Deputy Secretary of the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation

Responsibility at Deputy Secretary level shall comprise:

  • The achievement of key whole-of-Department objectives as specified in the Department's Statement of Strategy and managing cross-divisional efforts to that end;
  • Ensuring a focus across the Department on long-term strategic policy issues;
  • Deputising for the Secretary General as required in relation to particular corporate or other matters;
  • Supporting the Secretary General in relation to strategic planning for the Department and the implementation of the Operating Model, including new ways of working;
  • Mobilising across the Department to respond to key issues of particular urgency/importance; and
  • Line management responsibility for the resourcing, transformation and delivery divisions within the Department.
