Responsibility at Deputy Secretary level shall comprise:
- The achievement of key whole-of-Department objectives as specified in the Department's Statement of Strategy and managing cross-divisional efforts to that end;
- Ensuring a focus across the Department on long-term strategic policy issues;
- Deputising for the Secretary General as required in relation to particular corporate or other matters;
- Supporting the Secretary General in relation to strategic planning for the Department and the implementation of the Operating Model, including new ways of working;
- Mobilising across the Department to respond to key issues of particular urgency/importance; and
- Line management responsibility for the resourcing, transformation and delivery divisions within the Department.
