Public Service Transformation Secondment Opportunties

Expressions of interest are invited from across the Irish Public Service for seconded assignments to the Public Service Transformation and Public Service Workforce divisions in the Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform.
A number of exciting positions are available on dynamic, interdisciplinary teams that are supporting and driving transformative approaches to the delivery of public services in Ireland.
The secondment programme presents a unique opportunity to work with other dedicated and talented individuals, gain valuable new skills and experiences and build connections with colleagues across the Public Service and other sectors.
There are roles available in:
- Data Governance, Ethical, Legal and Societal Impact
- Service Design
- Programme Management
- Customer Service Design and Delivery
- Workforce of the Future
- Policy Development
- Strategic Communications
There is one role available at Assistant Principal (or equivalent) level and nine at Higher Executive Officer/Administrative Officer (or equivalent) level. The secondment will be for a period of two years from October 2024.
Over that time participants will work to deliver on Ireland’s ambitious vision of ‘Inclusive, high quality and integrated Public Service provision that meets the needs and improves the lives of the people of Ireland’ as part of the Better Public Services transformation strategy.
The deadline for applications, which must be pre-approved in principle by your organisation’s human resource division, is 3pm on Friday, 6 September.
