The department has published Language Planning Guidelines (5th edition), which provide guidance on the language planning process which is being prepared and implemented in Gaeltacht Language Planning Areas, Gaeltacht Service Towns and Irish Language Networks.
The fifth edition includes details regarding a range of additional supports made available to the language planning process in the areas of the early years, the family and traditional arts and a review of the Action Plan 2018-2022 as it relates to the language planning process, in addition to guidance relating to the preparation and implementation of language plans.
