Fintan O'Brien

Fintan O’Brien is responsible at Assistant Secretary for the development and implementation of the National Rural Development Policy, Our Rural Future, and the delivery of a range of capital investment schemes under the Rural Development Investment Programme.

These schemes include the Rural Regeneration Development Fundand the EU co funded LEADERprogramme, and aim to support the development of a range of facilities and initiatives in rural communities. The role also encompasses the delivery of the National Outdoor Recreation Strategy,the Town Centre First Policy,and the development of the Connected Hubs initiative in partnership with the Western Development Commission.
