Pilot Place-Based Philanthropy Projects

The National Philanthropy Policy for Ireland 2024-2028 was launched on 13 December 2023. The purpose of the policy is to deepen understanding and knowledge, creating an enabling environment and accelerate engagement with philanthropy in Ireland for social good. The policy contains 21 actions, divided between the following strands: communications and awareness raising; data and research; stimulating and incentivising philanthropy; government and sectoral partnership; and capacity building.
The aim of this 2025 call for Pilot-Place Based Philanthropy projects is to is to provide funding to co-funded projects that address local need or challenge, have a confirmed philanthropic partner and are able to demonstrate strong community involvement, cross sector collaboration and sustainable outcomes.
Applications to this call must be led by a community development organisation or community- based group that has a confirmed philanthropic funding partner.

The closing date for applications is 12pm on 16th June 2025. Applications should be submitted electronically to philanthropy@drcd.gov.ie using the official application form.
