Preparation of a draft language scheme by the Department of Rural and Community Development for the period 2022-2025

The primary objective of the Official Languages Act 2003 is to ensure better availability and a higher standard of public services through Irish.

The current Irish language scheme of the Department can be found here.

In accordance with Section 11 of the Act, the Department of Rural and Community Development proposes to draft a new language scheme for the period 2022-2025.

The Department of Rural and Community Development invites submissions in relation to the preparation of a new draft scheme from any interested parties.
