Geoff Byrne

Geoff Byrne, Chief Operating Officer, Tesco Ireland. Geoff has worked for Tesco for over 30 years and has held a variety of leadership roles across retail, people and online functions of the business. He assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2014. As COO, he has responsibility for the retail operations of over 175 stores, the distribution network, a comprehensive property portfolio, and the grocery home shopping business within Tesco Ireland. Geoff is a Chartered Director; chair of the Tesco Mobile Ireland Board, a member of the Retail Ireland board and a board director of Threshold; the organisation advocating for the prevention of homelessness. Geoff became Interim CEO in April 2024.
